Children
Children under the age of 18 are more than welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Pets
Unfortunately we are unable to accept pets with the exception of legal guide dogs.

Smoking
The Balmoral is strictly a no smoking guesthouse. This includes rooms and all areas inside the guesthouse. Should we find any guests have smoked in their rooms they will be asked to leave and a charge £50 for deep cleaning will be made. Additionally, any damage caused to the rooms must be paid for and we reserve the right to charge any card given as security. In giving your card details at the time of booking you accept these terms.

Reservations and Cancelations
We are happy to accept advanced bookings by email, telephone or in person. These are considered provisional bookings until such a time that payment is received in full. Once payment is made there are no refunds or transfer of payments. On line bookings are considered confirmed and no refunds or date transfers can be accepted.

Weekend Check In
Guests are able to check-in on a Saturday between 1pm and 4pm.  Guests wishing to check-in on a Sunday, must contact the guest house in advance. All Sunday check-ins must be pre-arranged and approved, and are subject to a fee of £10.

Payments
We accept cash, VISA, Master Card, VISA Electron, American Express, Maestro (UK issued), VISA Debit, Master Card Debit, Solo Cards and Company Cheques.

Security
Credit or Debit card details are required for security reasons (this is regardless of method of payment). Your card will only be charged if, after you check out, any items are missing from your room or there is damage done to your room.

Please note that card details are not kept beyond the duration of your room inspection following check out.

Check-In
Please note that we do not offer 24 hour reception service.  Generally, our reception hours are between 2pm and 7:30pm Monday to Friday and 1pm to 4pm on Saturday.  Check-ins outside of these hours must be pre-arranged and carry an additional £10 charge.  Reception hours are subject to change and you should confirm your check in time prior to arrival.

Parking
The Balmoral has no Private Car Parking Facilities and is not held responsible for any parking tickets/fines or any stolen or damaged vehicles.

Emergency Equipment
If any emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers or fire blankets is used for an event other than an emergency, a £100 fee will be charged to the guest. We reserve the right to charge any card given as security. In giving your card details at the time of booking you accept these terms.
